My Story

Petrichora Handmade is a one-woman jewelry business currently operating in southern Arizona. One of my favorite times of the year is monsoon season, when the smell of rain in the desert is the most prevalent. My metalsmithing practice started with my interest for handmade, unique items. Ever since I was a child, I've been encouraged to be interested in working with materials of all kinds. I'm continuously inspired by the wonders of the natural world and my surrounding landscapes. My desire to hone in my skills led me to Penland School of Craft where I received guidance by master craftsmen. I eventually ended up earning an AFA in southern Arizona.  I'm honored to have been able to teach metalsmithing and other artforms at Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions in New Mexico. My jewelry making started as a hobby that turned into a passion, and I feel fortunate to be able to design and craft custom mixed metal works of art.
